Coldwell Activity Centre, nr Burnley Lancs
Fri 11th to Mon 14th March 2022
Set in a quiet part of Lancashire off the beaten track, Coldwell Activity Centre is the perfect retreat for this new and intentionally inspiring weekend for gay men.
There have already been successful ‘taster’ sessions at recent ECC events. It’s quite simply an experience about self-appreciation and creating a better connection with other men. It’s about using more of our senses and less of our pre-conceived thinking that often holds us back from forming more significant relationships. We will be encouraging ECC members and newbies alike to come on a mini journey of self-discovery with like-minded men, regardless of age or background.
There will be four sessions on the Saturday and four on the Sunday with planned entertainment after candle-lit suppers each evening. Good food, positive energy and enticing new thinking await all those bold enough to sign up. And as always at ECC events, there are a limited number of places which tend to go quickly.
Though this is not a course or training, everyone is encouraged to attend all the sessions, though attendance for any session is entirely optional. If you come with negatives, we will help you leave with positives plus a greater appreciation of yourself and others. There will be a lot of interaction, mind activities and hopefully… some bonding. As well as a chance to make new genuine friends.
The organisers are James Barnard who many will already know and Daniel McCoy who is new to ECC …so bouncing with enthusiasm. They welcome anyone with an enquiring mind who is open and eager to learn new things about themselves and others. The food will be freshly cooked by Imran Riaz who will be offering authentic Indian cuisine as well as English and Italian suppers. Come hungry.
Both James and Daniel would like to remind everyone attending of our respect and connection with that man who loved men, Victorian trailblazer, Edward Carpenter.
There are places for 21 men. Arrive Friday 11th March from 3pm. Depart Monday 14th March by 10.30am. Food will be vegetarian. The accommodation is mainly in shared bedrooms, some with ensuite facilities. More specific details of the locale, travel options and essential information will be sent to all attendees.
